Luke still wants us to be thinking about the Kingdom of God, and so he records a parable that Jesus tells about how humility will lead to exalting, in God's kingdom. What is the kingdom of God like? It's a great question - it's a vital question! If we are part of the kingdom of God, we should know what it's like. If we want others to be part of the kingdom of God, they need to know what it's like as well. Why not come along this Sunday and see how suprising and amazing the kingdom of God is?

‘Martha, Martha,’ the Lord answered, ‘you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed – or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.’ (Luke 10:41-42, NIV)
The account of Mary and Martha seems to contrast actions with simply being with Jesus. It raises a question of what is the most important thing in life? Is doing things not important? The parable of the Good Samaritan is one of the most well-known of Jesus stories. It's message is simple: "Go and do likewise." But what does that mean?
